Within ‘Images in Action’, when we talk about ‘images’ of young people with fewer opportunities, we mean the stereotypes or prejudices towards them, or the reputation these guys and girls have in the minds of the general public or some specific target audience.

We assume that these stereotypes and prejudices don’t refl ect the reality. They limit the young people in their self-development and take away their opportunities. Negative images create distance and ignorance between different groups in society. They are often at the root of discriminatory behaviour.
